The Greater Bay Area Microscopic Science and Technology Research Center (abbreviated as: Greater Bay Area Electron Microscope Center) is one of the major scientific facility platforms of Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory. The establishment of the center aims to build a southern base for material microstructure research and a material imaging center with ultra-high spatial resolution and ultra-high energy resolution. The center is closely integrated with the overall layout of Songshan Lake Materials Laboratory and the future material structure research and development plan of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, in order to gradually become a material microstructure research base that can represent the national level, a microscopic technology talent training and education base, an important part of the future national material structure research, and a new window for cross-opening between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

Andalusian Centre for Developmental Biology Seville, Spain Who are we? The CABD was founded in 2003 as the first Spanish institute specialising in the study of Developmental Biology. In 2017, the Department of Gene Regulation and Morphogenesis received the accreditation of the María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence for the period 2017-2021, which has been extended to the CABD as a whole for the period 2022-2026. The CABD, which is housed in the JA Campos Ortega building, is a joint centre co-financed by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), the Regional Government of Andalusia and the Pablo de Olavide University (UPO) in Seville. The building and equipment were funded by the European Union. In addition to the Pablo de Olavide University (UPO), the city of Seville is home to two public universities, the US and the UNIA, and several biomedical research centres with which we maintain collaborative links, such as CABIMER, IBIS and CIC Cartuja. Thanks to the María de Maeztu mention, the centre is in the expansion phase (job offers). This initiative aims to attract Spanish and foreign scientists to the magnificent environment that the city of Seville provides. To encourage the formation of an international community, the main seminars are held in English and the working language is English. Research groups The research focus has been chosen to host and promote the prestigious Spanish School of Developmental Biology that has been spreading through different international laboratories. Currently the centre is occupied by young and dynamic groups working on the development of mice, zebrafish, Xenopus, Drosophila and Caenorhabditis. At the CABD there are also groups studying cell cycle control in yeast, gene regulation in bacteria and oxidative stress. (Statement on the use of experimental animals) .
