Sichuan Animal Science Research Institute is a public welfare research institution with a long history of 81 years. It is a first-class regional animal husbandry science and technology innovation center and talent training base in China. The institute undertakes basic and applied research projects such as the National Major Science and Technology Support Program, the 863 Program, the National Natural Science Foundation, the National Agricultural Industry Technology System, and the Provincial Animal and Poultry Breeding Research. It conducts research on new animal husbandry and veterinary technologies and new products in the fields of genetic breeding, biotechnology, feed nutrition, disease prevention and control, healthy breeding, and production systems, cultivates animal husbandry and veterinary technical personnel, promotes modern animal husbandry production technology, and provides scientific and technological support for the development of modern animal husbandry in Sichuan and the southwest region.
